No shit sherlock

Apparently Afghanistan is turning out to be a little more tricky than they first thought. A little look a t a couple of history books may have helped them realise that.

Doesn't matter how sophisticated your weaponry becomes, operating in a country that essentially lives with a stone age infrastructure is not going to be a quick jaunt.

I can't believe the Top Brass are so taken aback by how difficult it is.
There was an article in the Sunday Telegraph about how poor the medical facilities are for the wounded troops.

We have four clients (all ex-SAS) who are security advisors and the general feeling was that Afghanistan was a complete no-brainer.

Just as the Soviets found out in 1979 anybody not trained correctly or supported correctly will be a sitting duck.

As an aside, did you know that we still have more troops in Northern Ireland than in Iraq and Afghanistan combined?
