Child detritus

I have just walked in to work and in looking for the receipts in my pockets to do my expenses, I have found the following:

- A gorilla holding a banana
- 2 plastic coins
- 3 nappy bags
- A small wooden tree
- The spanner and spare wheels for a fingerboard

I can't remember the last time I found a fiver that I'd forgotten I had

Gavin,

I have a secret liaison going.

Anonymous of course I will.

There's one of two thing you are wanting.

A fingerboard is a little mini skateboard that you can use with your fingers. A lot of people use them for little table top tricks. My 2 year old skateboarding obsessed son (this isn't an exageration every step, log, kerb etc. he finds, he jumps off shouting 'skating boarder') uses it to jump down steps he builds with his Megabloks (a bit like Duplo but better)

Brings back memories six...I used to fight my boys for the finger boards!

Nappy bags though??...is that a special product? We just used any old (plastic) bag.

Anonymous...he can't unless you post a comment as YOU and not as anonymous!

Well Six might Span, since Six (bastard) knows who Anonymous is!!!!!!!!!!I can't stand the suspense! Let me know!

Really so that's a fingerboard eh? Well I never! I thought it was a mini skateboard...you live and learn.

I know what it is to have a skate obsessed son though. Number 3 child - (the cool 11 year old) - is a hockey obsessive. Roller hockey here - ice hockey when he can get it. Friday night, Saturday night to the club, all day everyday given half a chance on the pavements...

And the kit...the body armour and hundred pound wheels...

Six get a grip now! That fingerboard is evil!

(Only joking! I'm delighted my boy has found his thing and it's a great spectator sport - so fast, so graceful, so violent, so indoors....)

Six,

The contents of your pockets sounds like what I often find when I put my hand down the side of the settee when I'm looking for the remote for the TV.

You don't go to work wearing a sofa, do you?

well I could divulge the contents of my handbag ... but that's a womans secret.
A gorilla etc...a toy?
2 plastic coins ... not real money ..oh well
3 nappy bags ..impressed, new man , I obviously went wrong somewhere.
a wooden tree... are you into bonsai?
the spanner thingie ... lost me as well ...

Derrrrrrrr Span! That's what I said - I had never heard of a fingerboard, I thought it was just called a mini-skateboard.

hmmm...is this going to be another athiest thread...what you actually said was:

"Really so that's a fingerboard eh? Well I never! I thought it was a mini skateboard...you live and learn."

...hence my reply!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...;-)

Yes I thought it was a mini skate board. Now I know it's called a fingerboard.

Have you taken a vow of testiness for 2006?

This actually reminds me, for some reason, of a time when Charlie was about 2.

I was busy puttin up a curtain rail, and at 5ft 2 and the curtain pole a good 6ft, I was struggling.

Anyway, got the mounts up on the wall and could not find the curtain rings for the pole.

I searched high and low, thinking I'd gone mad.

I gave up the srach and went for a wee, and found the curtain rings down the toilet!

They were never the same again.
