Remember this?
Love this song. It's a bit light, but I did always like Belly.
Oooo that's a bit controversial. Vaughn Oliver and the team at V23 that used to do all of the early 4AD covers are treated as minor dieties by almost every graphic designer I've ever met.
I'll add to that that the cover for Surfer Rosa by the Pixies was my favourite ever album cover, of course those perky breasts always helped. Well and the fact that it's also actually my favourite album. I also owned a limited edition set of prints that were created for each of the tracks on Doolittle.
You lot are making me feel like an old fart. I'd never heard of "Belly" until now. I'm tempted to do a "Remember this?" post myself but it may attract a certain amount of ridicule!
I didn't say it wasn't a good cover Six - what I meant was that it had taken a lot of hardwork to make it look simple. I preferred The Breeders to Belly though.
