DIY relief

No it's not what you're thinking (Span). We have finally finished both rooms and I'll admit it. I'm actually very pleased with the reults. The babies room is a little bit empty at the moment as we don't know whether it's a boy or a girl and as it's not going to be in there for a few months we can finish off the detail when it arrives.

But Eben's room is absolutely corking. And to prove I wasn't lying here are the pictures (sorry I've got all pleased with myself).

Wow, what massive rooms you have. Do you want a lodger....you've got plenty of room for one!

Well done, I told you it would be worth it. Look how proud you are of yourself. Aunty Mags is always right ;-)

Mags, I have to admit to swallowing my words. The lodger thing is something we are going to sort out. We have a self contained unit at the top of the house which we're thinking of putting a kitchennette in (health and safety permitting) in a few months time once th babies a bit settled. Big change. Of course we might end up getting an au pair.

Well done, Six. I like the "minimalist" look to the rooms, although the pictures do remind me how much we've still to do! Does Eben like the decor of his room?

Good work that man. And congratulations in gatting Eben to pose in the manner of a DFS catalogue.

Ah Yes Shy. It was minimalist this was taken just after we'd moved him in it's now covered in stickers and pictures and all sorts. Far from minimal I'm afraid.

I think you missed a spot in one corner...the relief comment did get me thinking what you thought I'd be thinking!!!!

hehehe, anyway it looks fine.

Re lodger, if you can afford it get an au pair, they don't cost too much and are usually a Godsend. Dare I say a young foreign girl will do (my brother always had Swiss girls and they were (all) the bees knees...in a totally non-sexual related way...(stop digging Span!)...we didn't need one as we always had at least on sister (my inlaws) with us.
