Oh God, Christmas cards

It doesn't matter how much you gee yourself up for them does it, they're always the most boring and frustrating things to write.

Last night Nic and I bought the tree and put it up, made chilli con carne (total comfort food), watched Harry Met Sally (best Christmas movie ever), but despite that the Christmas spirit has ebbed out of us after 5 written cards each. Granted they were the most difficult overseas ones, so you need to condense a year in to a short, snappy, unsmug and interesting 250 words, but even so. Over the next 3 nights we've got Big, Uncle Buck and It's a Wonderful life to sustain us and keep us cheery.

Tonight - cards to relatives you don't really like, but need to stay on the right side of. Aaaaarrrggghh.

I am sooo with you guys on this mate!

I begrudge them - the waste, the bore, the everything about it!

I spare myself too much grief, by limiting card sending to people that are far away, or alone or whatever.

I see no point in sending them to people I will see or speak to.

Well...that's my reasoning!

A few years ago I decided that the hundreds (I kid you not!) of cards that we sent were a complete waste of time and money. Now I send NONE, the divorce helped!!!...:-( and my ex has a couple of dozen that she keeps in touch with...

Thanks for the link, Six.

Good to see you back.(if you don't know what I'm talking about, ignore this last comment because I've made a mistake)

Finished those cards yet Six?

Yes finally thank you.

However, what I forgot to say was that I had the whole thing to do with the business as well. Stupidly this year I decided to design one which I'm not doing again next year. .
