Ssshh!!! Don't tell the British Public

I was going to include the following in my post below, but felt it deserved it's own post.

Anyone heard of the rather boringly titled Regulatory and Legislative Reform Bill? You may have seen me post on BBCFLUKN about it. But it's being sneaked in without us really noticing.

The Regulatory and Legislative reform bill is currently in the Lords following the amendment to introduce a veto to proposals made under it's auspices.

The bill is very likely to be accepted by the Lords, in it's amended form. Whereas, it would undoubtedly have rejected the original. Nonetheless the increased powers, delivered directly into the hands of MPs are dangerous to put it lightly.

I am going to wait to post more fully about this, as the bill is in limbo currently, but I will keep abreast of things. Problem with the bill is that it has slipped through so unnoticed so far that I have no doubt the original will be retabled at some point in the future. My personal worry is that thisaccepted amendment, simply provides a smaller step towards the original proposal.

Six, thsi is really scary, we did discuss it on the Mb the first time round - really 1984 on the way! it's stunning when you read what 'they' will be able to do..."I give the House clear undertakings, which I shall repeat in Committee, that the orders will not be used to implement highly controversial reforms."...hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

I think we should march on parliament, which is what would ahve happened a coupe of centuries ago!

P.S. Six have you posted a dozen posts in 2 days or am I in a time warp?

P.P.S. OK OK...we can see the links now!

Yes it is scary.

No you're not in a time warp, I have posted loads. I've decided if I'm going to be online I'd rather spend more time on my blog than on the boards for 2 reasons. 1. I have realised there's a lot I'd like to write and am increasingly thinking this is goiong to be great to look back on in 10 years time from a diary type perspective 2. As soon as I get dragged in to a discussion on the boards half my day is gone.

I think that's part of he problem Span. Because it doesn't seem that major on a day to day basis, people aren't that botthered I do actually understand that opinion, but I think it's used by unscrupulous men, to be unscrupulous.
